This note documents the privacy policy for the DevDock Chrome Extension, detailing collected data (page URL and title, a page content excerpt, user-provided content, and tags/intent) and items not collected (passwords, credentials, payments, health data, personal communications, precise location, keystrokes, or broader browsing history). Data is used to save pages to your DevDock workspace and to generate AI-enriched context on demand, with content excerpts processed server-side for AI features and not stored beyond what you save. Information may be shared with infrastructure providers to operate DevDock and is not sold.

The DevDock Chrome Extension lets you save the current webpage — as a link, snippet, or AI-enriched developer note — to your DevDock workspace. You can save via the extension popup or the browser right-click context menu.
When you use the extension, we may collect and process:
The extension does not collect:
We use the information only to:
Page content excerpts sent for AI enrichment are processed via the DevDock server and are not stored beyond what you save to your workspace.
We do not sell personal information collected by the extension.
Information you submit through the extension is sent to the DevDock service and stored in your workspace. We may rely on infrastructure providers (such as hosting, database, and AI processing providers) to operate DevDock. These providers process data only as needed to deliver the service.
The extension only reads or transmits page data when you actively interact with it. Opening a tab does not trigger any collection. Page content is extracted only when the popup opens, and is sent to the server only if you click "Get Dev Value." Nothing is submitted unless you click "Save to DevDock" in the popup, or choose a DevDock action from the right-click context menu. Selected text is only read and transmitted when you explicitly use the "Save selected text to DevDock" context menu action.
Saved items are retained as part of your DevDock workspace until you delete them or request account deletion. You can delete individual items from the DevDock dashboard at any time.
We use reasonable technical measures to protect information handled by the extension and transmitted to DevDock, including HTTPS for all API communication. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure.
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will update the "Last updated" date above. Continued use of the extension after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
